Supportive Housing

Kawartha Participation Projects Supportive Housing provides personal support services and essential homemaking in permanent community residential settings when the client's service requirements justify the need for the availability of 24-hour, on-site/on-call assistance. Housing Locations:

  • 24-hour on call support plus booked hours for individuals living in City of Kawartha Lakes/Haliburton Housing Authority apartments.
  • Auburn Village – Peterborough, Four (4) independent one (1) bedroom apartments in a senior's residence with 24-hour on-call/ phone-in support services available on a booked basis only.
  • St. Giles – Peterborough, Three (3) independent one (1) bedroom apartments in a senior's residence with 24-hour on-call/phone in support services available on a booked basis only.
  • St. John’s Centre – Peterborough, Ten (10) independent one (1) bedroom apartments in a senior's residence with 24 hour in house/on location support services.
  • Towerhill Village – Peterborough, Eighteen (18) accessible units, ranging from 1 and 2 bedroom apartments and 2, 3 & 4 bedroom townhouses with 24 hour on-call/phone-in support services on a booked basis only.
  • Myrtle Terrace – Peterborough, Twelve (12) independent apartments in a recently renovated apartment building with 24-hour in house/on location support services. This project opened May, 2008 and was created to provide people with intellectual disabilities with safe, affordable, supportive housing. This initiative spans several partners including the Peterborough Housing Corporation, Kawartha Participation Projects, Community Living Peterborough. The City of Peterborough, the Central East Community Care Access Centre and the Central East LHIN.
  • St. Peter’s - Peterborough, 38 accessible units, ranging from bachelor, 1 and 2 bedroom apartments with 24-hour in house/on location support services.
