NEW CROSS CANADA CHALLENGE

The Workplace Wellness Committee invites you to join us on our challenge to walk across Canada. This challenge is part of our physical activity initiative. We are encouraging employees to get physically active by taking a virtual walk across Canada. Walking can be fit into a busy schedule and in our line of work, walking is an everyday occurrence, but the challenge is to walk more – Let’s get fit one step at a time.

As a joint venture with the Peterborough County City Health Unit, our Agency has successfully established a Workplace Wellness Committee that is dedicated to the health and wellness of KPP employees. If you are not a member of this committee but would like to contribute some ideas or information, please contact any of the committee members listed below:

Terms of Reference

Upcoming Events

Currently the Wellness Committee is developing the action plan for 2012. During each 2012 quarter the committee will be focusing on one of the top 4 health concerns indicated by employees via the wellness survey completed in May 2011.

From January to March 2012 the focus is on Nutrition
From April to June 2012 the focus is on Exercise
From July to September 2012 the focus is on Sleep
From October to December 2012 the focus is on Stress
